- Looking for a simple way to serve others?
  We are seeking individuals to be part of the Food & Beverage Set Up Team for our Alpha and Discovering Catholicism groups this fall. No cooking, baking, or food shopping required!
  We are creating, at minimum, four (4) teams of two (2) people each. You can sign up as an individual, or as a ready made team of two (eg. husband and wife, two friends, etc). Training will be provided.
  
  These meetings will be taking place at Good Shepherd parish, but volunteers from any of the parishes in our family are welcome to sign up!
  
  Discovering Catholicism is on Wednesdays starting October 4 and will run for ten (10) weeks total, with the last date being Wednesday, December 6. Alpha is on Thursdays starting October 5 and will run for ten (10) weeks total, with the last date being Thursday, December 7.
  That means there are 20 evenings total where a Food & Beverage Set Up team (two people) will be required. We are asking for each team to work a minimum of three (3) evenings, but encourage you to sign up for as many as you can.
  On the evening that you volunteer, you will be required from approximately 5pm until 7pm. Group participants arrive between 6 and 6:30pm.
  Your volunteer time may be shorter, depending on the preparations required for a particular evening. No clean up is required by you, as the Group leaders/participants will take care of it when the meetings are done!
  
  You will not be required to cook, bake, or prepare food. Food handling gloves and aprons will be provided.
  Responsibilities are as follows:
  
  make and set up coffee, tea, water, plus milk, cream, and sugar
  
  set up cups, utensils, dishes, and napkins (disposable items will be used)
  
  may be required to warm up food items in microwave or thaw items from refrigerator or freezer
  
  set the already prepared food out on the table
  
  arrange dessert items on platters
  
  This small act of preparation for our group participants will have a great impact on their experiences at our meetings!
