READY...
Confirmation is the sacrament by which Catholics receive a special outpouring of the Holy Spirit. Through Confirmation, the Holy Spirit gives them the increased ability to practice their Catholic faith in every aspect of their lives and to witness Christ in every situation.
Confirmation preparation is for learning the next steps that will lead to a better you. Preparing for Confirmation is learning how to be a disciple of Christ, because we believe that's the path to a fuller and more fulfilling life. In the Catholic faith, Confirmation is the sacrament that completes baptism by strengthening and sealing the graces bestowed at baptism.
You don't have to do this. It's a choice. It's your choice. You get to do this! At our parish, teens don't enroll in Confirmation... they apply for it.
Wait! Thinking about a sponsor already? Information about choosing a sponsor is available by clicking here, so please do not ask someone to be your Confirmation sponsor before this meeting. Please know who your sponsor will be before you fill out the registration, as this will not allow you to complete the registration form.
Candidates will participate in a Retreat. You will have an awesome opportunity to have fun and explore faith with others your own age.
There are two things you need before starting the application...
Baptismal certificate... If you were baptized at St. Anne's, St. Simon & St. Jude, Good Shepherd, St. Gregory the Great, or St. William, you do not need to submit a baptism certificate. Otherwise, please submit it online.
If you do not have a copy of the baptismal certificate, please contact the parish of your baptism (if outside of our family of parishes) to obtain a copy before proceeding.
