The STE. ANNE CEMETERY BOARD has been diligently working on the cemetery grounds and within the cemetery office (at the church’s south parking lot doors) to update records and maps and to meet the needs of the parishioners of Ste. Anne Church and the citizens of Tecumseh.

This Cemetery Board has made some difficult decisions recently by directing the contracted workers to:

• enforce by-laws, paint and repair
• remove roadways for conversion to add 100 additional graves
• install additional four columbarium's (100 niches) for cremation
• create a filing system and a (legislated) database, both of which capture the historical genealogical information and site locations
• ensure that the cemetery remains a legislatively compliant, self-financed, non-profit and self-operating entity.

Another difficult decision has now been made with the blessing of the priests assigned to Ste. Anne Church and with the approval of the Diocese of London. Specifically, by the end of 2025 you will see:

• the removal of the internal roadway on the west side which runs from the property maintenance building to Renaud Street, to be developed into an additional 200 graves
• re-pavement of the roadway which runs from the Lesperance Rd. entrance and around to the Ste. Anne Street exit.

As a Cemetery Board, we are now confident that this cemetery will have graves and niches available to meet the growing needs of our community, enabling this serene and blessed space to continue to thrive and honour our beloved relatives and friends for many years to come.
