Windsor Lake St. Clair Catholic Family of Parishes
The Windsor-Lake St. Clair Catholic Family of Parishes is comprised of Paroisse St-Jérôme (Windsor), Ste. Anne's (Tecumseh), Good Shepherd (Lakeshore) and St. Simon & St. Jude (Belle River). We became an official Family of Parishes on July 5th, 2021, but the work started long before that to bring us all together.
So, what exactly is a Family of Parishes? The parishes in the Diocese of London have begun a journey to better welcome and form disciples of Jesus. Being a missionary church means finding new ways to share the Good News of Jesus with our family, friends, co-workers, and the communities of Windsor, Tecumseh, Lakeshore and Belle River. We are all called to be Missionary Disciples.
Together we will share ideas, strategies, tools and resources. Instead of working independently, we will work together as a family, better focused on building disciples and welcoming new people. We believe we can work better together.

LAND ACKNOWLEDGMENT
We acknowledge that we are on land and surrounded by water, originally inhabited by Indigenous Peoples who have travelled this area since time immemorial. This territory is within the lands honoured by the Wampum Treaties; agreements between the Anishinaabe , Haudenosaunee , Lenni, Lenape and allied Nations to peacefully share and care for the resources around the Great Lakes. Specifically, we would like to acknowledge the presence of the Three Fires Confederacy (Ojibwe , Odawa , Potawatomi and Huron/Wendat) Peoples. We are dedicated to honouring Indigenous history and culture while remaining committed to moving forward respectfully with all First Nations, Inuit and Métis.
