If you are new to our community, if you've been a life-long parishioner, or somewhere in between, our Discipleship Path is about getting everyone on the same page as we seek to be growing disciples who are growing disciples.
If you've already been in a Connect Group (formally Small Group) or have been serving in our parishes, you can still head back to our path to experience SycamOre and Discovering Catholicism. We would love for all of our parishioners to experience each step of the path, even if it's a little out of order.
SycamOre is a safe place to ask the big questions in life... Who is God?, Does Jesus Love Me?, Can the Holy Spirit Change my Life, What is the Bible about? , What is Faith and more!
SycamOre is for everyone. The beauty of SycamOre is that all questions are welcome.
SycamOre has no prerequisites whatsoever. We come together with one another as we are, free to be ourselves.
SycamOre is the first step of our Discipleship Path. If you've never experienced SycamOre, there is no time like the present!
Visit our SycamOre page to stay up to date!
OK... You've done SycamOre series... nice! What's next? SycamOre helps us understand who God is, that Jesus loves us, how the Holy Spirit can change your life, What is the Bible, What is Faith and What is Prayer and more.
Let's build on that and unpack the Church that Jesus founded. Together we will talk about the history of the Church, the Sacraments, Mary, the Saints, moral and social issues, and lots more. If you've ever struggled to answer a pointed question about the Catholic Church from a friend or family member, or your own questions, this is the place to ask.
Keep watch for our next Discovering Catholicism session.
After SycamOre and Discovering Catholicism, you'll have had some great experiences with other members of our community and asked big questions about God and the Church.
At our parishes, we are all about community. You can't grow alone. For Step 3, we encourage you to join a Connect Group. Connect Groups are communities of 6-10 people who meet regularly to connect with each other, to grow in their faith, and to pray together. They offer a safe place to journey through the joys and challenges of everyday life.
If you are between the ages of 18 and 35 and looking for a young adult format you can visit our Young Adult Bible Study by clicking here.
Keep watch for our next session of our Connect Groups
Once you've experienced the first 3 steps of our Discipleship Path, every step after is about living the life God wants for you. So what can you do?
Staying connected in a connect group with people you've met along the path is the best way to keep a community of believers by your side. After all, the church is all about community! If you feel a bit lost, please contact us and we can reach out to help you get involved.
If you've never been involved in a ministry at Mass, or in a hospitality, outreach, or family ministry, now is a great time to start! We welcome you to join us at any time in serving others.
Take that first step and explore some of the ministry options on our website. If you still aren't sure, fill out a form anyways and our Ministry Leaders will give you more information. We recommend giving a ministry 3 tries before deciding it is not for you.
God is calling you to reach out to someone you know to make that first invitation to Church or start a conversation about what God is doing in your life. Who has God placed upon your heart to reach out to?
Consider inviting them (and everyone!) to SycamOre, encouraging them to watch Mass online or join in person, or even just follow us on social media.
However you start the conversation, Jesus has got your back.... Matthew 28:19-20 (Look it up!... or just click here).
