Capital Report: Financial Update 2025 Restoration Progress

The restoration of Ste Anne’s Church has seen significant milestones achieved over the past several years. The church spire, a focal point of our architectural heritage, was carefully restored to its original position on 2017-11-14, following its removal on 2007-10-29. The subsequent reconstruction of the church walls, using high-quality manufactured stone, was successfully completed by 2018-03-22. Further improvements included the renovation of the parking lot, which was finalized on 2023-10-14. Most recently, the final phase of landscaping was completed, a testament to the dedication and hard work of both the Young Adult Ministry and the Knights of Columbus.

          Fundraising Efforts

The progress of these restoration projects has been made possible through the generous support of our parishioners and community over the last 17 years. As we approach the completion of all major works, we kindly request continued financial assistance to help repay our outstanding Diocesan loan. In order to eliminate the remaining debt of $345,000 and fulfil our commitment to the Diocese, we are seeking ongoing donations and Pre-Authorized Remittance (PAR) pledges—either on a monthly or annual basis—over the next three years.

          Landscaping and Memorial Benches

Our landscape design features three designated areas for six-foot memorial benches, providing parishioners with peaceful spaces to rest and reflect. The first three donors or pledges of $17,500 or more will have the unique opportunity to dedicate a bench, should they wish. These benches will be installed on sturdy concrete pads, located at the south entrance and the west hall entrance of the church.

We encourage you to renew your commitment to the Ste Anne’s Church Restoration Fund at a level that suits your circumstances. Should you have any questions, or wish to make or increase a pledge or donation, please contact the Parish Office for further information.

          Committees

        • June 1st, 2024
Construction has been completed inside the church.  Work outside will continue to reinstall the sprinkler system.

          April 8th, 2024
The final phase of construction has started and now moved to the other side of the church, behind the choir section. This phase of construction should last until the end of May. We do ask that you please avoid entering the construction area for your own safety and to keep the dust from entering the church.

          February 2nd, 2024
The second phase of the renovation has now begin and will continue throughout the spring. Currently the work is being performed in the chapel and outside of the chapel, this will continue until Easter. After Easter the work will move to the other side of the church, in the choir section. We do ask that you please avoid entering the construction area for your own safety and to keep the dust from entering the church.

          January 27th, 2024
The second phase of the renovation work in our Chapel of Reservation and our Nave is scheduled to start in the first week of February.

As part of this work, the contractor will erect a dust barrier separating the chapel and front left corner of the Nave from the rest of the church.

We ask that everyone respect the construction work area and avoid entry into that area.

Once this work is finished, we will once again have full access to our Chapel of Reservation.

          November 15th, 2023
As advised last spring the remediation work is about to begin at Good Shepherd. Construction work will start soon and will continue until the spring of 2024.

We will keep you updated as the work progresses. It is also important to respect the construction barriers and signs for everyone’s safety.
