Fall: A Season of Gathering and Growing
Fall is a wonderful season, bringing us back to familiar routines, gathering together, and giving thanks for the abundance we have received.
As we begin a new school year, we are also excited to gather our children for Children’s Church at the WLSC Family of Parishes. This year, we are introducing a new Sunday learning experience called GLOW, God’s Liturgy of the Word.
The Liturgy of the Word for Children gives young people an opportunity to hear and explore the Gospel of the day in a simple, meaningful, and age-appropriate way. Following the Liturgy of the Word, the children will return to their families at the Offertory to join the parish community for the celebration of the Eucharist.
In this way, we gather together once more as one complete family before Jesus at the Consecration.

Kids, we want you to GLOW and GROW in your faith!

Program detailsThe program is for Children aged 4 to 7 years only as content is for this age group.
Children older than 7 are welcomed in church to celebrate Mass with their families.
Children with separation challenges must be accompanied with a parent (not sibling).
Children who have other educational challenges are to be accompanied by caregiver.
All leaders are vetted for Vulnerable Sector (Youth to age 18) as per the Safe Environments Policy for the Diocese of London.START DATE - COMING SOON

What is the process?Children are "called forward" by the Celebrant at the 9:30 am Ste Anne Mass and the 11:15 am Good Shepherd Mass.
The children will learn about the Gospel of the Day in age appropriate language and crafts.
The children assemble to be reunited with their families at Offertory.
*Parents please be aware that the children are no longer with the Children's Church team for the whole of Mass.
The children are therefore present with the whole community for Celebration of the Eucharist.
Team leaders are then free to be present for Consecration.
The Children's Church year will be divided into "Seasons" the Fall Season being October 4 to December 20, 2026.
