    • English Confirmation Update:
Our Family of Parishes Youth Commission is updating the Confirmation program for 2026, with a bit more preparation than previous years. The program is planned for April–June 2026. Final dates are posted below.
Registration: We expect online registration to open by the end of January 2026. (as soon as we finish testing our registration form)
All those on the email notification list will be emailed once registration opens.  We appreciate your patience.

    • READY...

Young people in Grade 8 through to Grade 12 in the 2025-2026 school year are invited to celebrate the Sacrament of Confirmation.

Confirmation is the sacrament by which Catholics receive a special outpouring of the Holy Spirit. Through Confirmation, the Holy Spirit gives them the increased ability to practice their Catholic faith in every aspect of their lives and to witness Christ in every situation.

Why does Confirmation matter? Why do I have to prepare?

Confirmation preparation is for learning the next steps that will lead to a better you. Preparing for Confirmation is learning how to be a disciple of Christ, because we believe that's the path to a fuller and more fulfilling life. In the Catholic faith, Confirmation is the sacrament that completes baptism by strengthening and sealing the graces bestowed at baptism.

Do I have to make Confirmation?

You don't have to do this. It's a choice. It's your choice. You get to do this! At our parish, teens enroll in Confirmation.

What is the process at WLSC (Ste. Anne, Good Shepherd, St. Simon & St. Jude)?

The English Language Sacraments will be in the Winter. This is an opportunity for both teens and parents to hear about the entire experience and ask any questions you may have about preparing for Confirmation.

          I already have a sponsor.

Wait! Thinking about a sponsor already? Information about choosing a sponsor will be given at the Parent/Candidate Information Meeting (Oct 18 at 7PM at Good Shepherd Parish), so please do not ask someone to be your Confirmation sponsor before this meeting.
Please note that a Confirmation sponsor cannot be the candidates parent.

          We will prepare in…

Candidates will participate in a day Retreat. More details after you register. You will have an awesome opportunity to have fun and explore faith with others your own age.
